Blue Spruce Underwriters has a dedicated insurance Program for Quick Service and Casual Dining Restaurants. By combining the Property and General Liability coverages into a single Businessowners Policy (BOP), the individual business owner can save the time and effort of finding coverage solutions that protect all of the applicable risks associated with operating a restaurant. Our BOP is custom tailored to meet the needs of a restauranteur, offering coverages and limits that coincide with the operational, and income-dependent, needs to safeguard you from disaster.
Any person or establishment that sells, serves, or assists in the purchase or use of liquor has a civil and legal duty to do so responsibly. Your business is open for a liability claim as a consequence or someone getting intoxicated to the extent that injuries or property damages are the result.
Blue Spruce offers the ability to add Liquor Liability coverage to its Businessowners Policy. This is achieved by excluding a Liquor Liability Exclusion from the Businessowners Policy, thereby including it into the BOP at a single Limit. This allows you, the insured, to save costs on purchasing multiple, separate, policies.
Hired / Non-Owned Auto
Hired & Non-Owned Auto Liability coverage protects the business owner from bodily injury or property damage caused by a hired vehicle, including rented or borrowed vehicles, or non-owned vehicles (owned by the employees, or others). Restaurant owner/operators often have a commercial automobile exposure when employees are performing work functions off-site, and for the benefit of the Company. Examples include:
- An employee taking deposits to the bank
- An employee picking up more lettuce before the next delivery
Blue Spruce offers this coverage per an Endorsement onto the Businessowners Policy. This Endorsement is not applicable to delivery exposures.
Business Owners coverage is available in all states shown in blue.
